Woohoo!

..:: Currently Playing: Orbital - Halcyon & On & On ::..

Woohoo! No work on Saturday!!!

This is a good and a bad thing, since ill have no money during christmas week, or indeed until new years eve since thats when my next pay will arrive. So from now till the end of the month, i have to run off 1 pay. Not easy, but centerlink money will get me through (i hope). I still have christmas presents to buy and a phone bill to pay by the 29th, just glad that everyone in my family knows im poor thanks to tafe (weather they believe it or not is a different thing), so i can get away with only buying presents for my immediate family. Rock on being poor!

Possibly going to Brians on sunday nite for a movie fest in 5.1, although the only thing thats gonna be on is the entire series of Band of Brothers. I watched the first couple of episodes when it was on tv, and didn't think a whole lot of them, so im debating weather to go or not, as i dont particularly wish to sit through 8+ hours of it. Maybe if he gets the gamecube set up elsewhere...

Oh well, that can be decided later. Right now im just going to enjoy knowing that i won't have to get up for work on sunday, so i can FINALLY catch up with all the sleep ive been missing since saturday nite. Averaging 4.5 hours a nite since then isnt all that great. There are just too many games that need playing and not enough waking hours, even with my sleep deprivation sleeping habits. I love holidays :D

I also think i need to move around the right hand sidebar. The archives box is getting a bit big and is pushing all my links off the page. Think ill move it to the bottom...tomorrow.

Well, back to those games me thinks *takes a deep breath and disappears for awhile*

Relief

..:: Currently Playing: Creed - Higher ::..

Today was not quite so hot...in fact, was 10 degrees cooler today than it was yesterday, considering we are in summer now, i still don't understand how the weather can change so drastically. From 40 to 29 is a big difference in the space of 12 hours. Whose complaining tho? Not me :P

Managed to aquire The Simpsons: Hit and Run today. Played through the first 2 levels (each with 7 missions in them). Level 1 was Homer, level 2 was Bart. Just hit Level 3 and its Lisa, so im postponing anymore play until the morning. Running around the springfield suburbs as Homer is more fun than i thought possible :D

The controls take a bit of getting used to, especially the dodgy camera control that doesnt respond all that accurately to mouse movement, but if you jack the mouse sensitivity up, the moment you move the mouse a fraction the camera starts spinning like a dishwasher. Might have to try it out with the gamepad i have.

Oh yeah, Winamp 5 has been released and it rocks hard. I highly suggest that everyone who uses winamp should upgrade too it. Has full support for modern skins like Winamp 3, but is built on the Win32 codebase of the extremely stable winamp 2 (hence the name winamp 5). Great stuff Nullsoft.

Whew!

..:: Currently Playing: Creed - Young Grow Old ::..

Well, make no mistake about it, its damn hot today. Its the scorching heat that i just love. It is currently 40 degrees celsius (thats 104 Fahrenheit if anyones wondering). Unfortunately, the heat seems to be making our cricketers wilt, as Australia seems destined to lose, unless they can spark an indian collapse in the order of 8 for 50 or near that. As much as id love to see that, i dont see it happening.

I also finally got my certification tick for SSD5. Only took a year and 2 attempts :D

Being on holidays now, my parents are telling me to ring up and get some extra work before christmas. Like...however many hours before christmas that they will give me. They don't see to understand that i just wanna fuckin relax after one of the most stressful tafe semesters ive had so far. (Ok, so it wasnt THAT stressful, but still the most stressful one so far :P). I just wanna chill out for a week, watch some TV, play plenty of games, drink some beers. That sort of thing. I dont wanna start doin 8 hour days at work the second i finish tafe. Sheesh, gimme a break.

A is the loveliest person ive ever known too :)

Good morning

Lost cricket 181 to 74, although didn't find out till after that the game was only a scratch match that we didn't need to pay for. I think it was the owners way at getting back at us considering there is always someone in our team who doesn't pay every week. On the up side, since the actual team forfieted and we paid for the scratch match, we won the beers even though we didn't get the highest partnership. THAT was awesome. 2 week break now over christmas, i can let the body recover now. Felt a very unnatural twinge in my bowling shoulder just before the match, but it seemed to sttle down.

After arriving home, i had such a nice conversation with A, until around 3:20am where it all went downhill and didn't end so well. Damnit!
